The route extends, like the name reveals, from North- to Baltic-Sea. On this the nature of Schleswig-Holstein presents itself diversaty.

The path leads over large sections along the impressive river panorama of the Kiel Canal through Marsch and Geest until the eastern hill country. Enjoy the offshore nature with its coal fields and verdant meadows as well as the view to the Kiel Canal and the passing ferry traffic.

The North-Baltic Trail is well adapted for trekking beginners as well as professionals. Half of the route is asphalted, the rest extends across natural paths.
