Mud flats and Hanseatic towns
The route combines appealingly the World Heritage mud flats at the German North Sea cost and the cultural heritage of the Hanse with the romance of the classic Baltic resorts of the turn of the century.
Past the Hanseatic cities Bremen, Lübeck and Wismar, each of them fascinating with their town musicians, world-famous marzipan or North German charm.
The landscape at the Baltic coast is characterized by contemplative towns and villages, elegant manor houses, shady tree avenues and wondeful beaches with crystal clear water. Through the National Park Western Pomerania Bodden landscape the route ends in Stralsund.
