During on-site audits, hotel assessments cover a total of 239 criteria, including the following areas:

 

  • General Hotel Info
  • Reception and Services
  • Rooms
  • Food and Beverages
  • Event Facilities (MICE)
  • Leisure
  • Quality and Online Activities
     

The rating is used to categorise hotels into one of five standard star categories, with an additional category available if a superior supplement is included for each star rating. Each classification is valid for a limited period of time, ensuring that hotels are reviewed on a regular basis.

Classification process

Light blue circle with text: The responsible classification society carries out a preliminary evaluation via web-based data processing.

Light blue circle with text: This is followed by an on-site audit to verify the hotelier's information and to better assess the local conditions.
